Through the years, countless artists have made huge heads in his works. (Michelangelo is an example, even is not so visible) I have seen many interpretations to this, the most common would be that, for artists the head, which produces the intellectual process is the most important part of the body. For me this is bull shit ... we humans have a tendency to portray us like that (artists or not) because the head is the part of our body where the sensoriety is more active, and for the same reasons we tend to exaggerate the other parts. That is, the parts that many information channels tend appear larger in our sensory perception. At the head we have eyes, ears, mouth tongue ears... and also the brain, which receives and interprets all this information and, sometimes, not knowing what to do with it, changes it in headache...

+++++

Great piece! The warm, charming colors are pure candy. c:
You've made a good point there~ That's probably why I draw heads and eyes really big.
